Greeting's Everyone! My name is Carole and it's great to meet you!

I am a wife and mother of two who grew up in the small town of Devon Alberta and now live in South Edmonton. I attended Computer Systems Technology at NAIT and currently work as an Account Manager in Edmonton, serving small businesses in Alberta. Computers might be what pays the bills however it has become clear that wine is my true passion.

I started Bottoms up Wine Parties in 2018. Looking to create more variety and fun in my day to day life I finally decided to turn my passion for wine into a business. I always was looking for a way of sharing my enthusiasm for wine with others and I hope to inspire people to experiment and try different wines whenever possible.

I have successfully completed two wine certifications through Wine Spirit Education Trust (WSET). WSET is recognized world wide for it's highly regarded certifications for both enthusiasts and professionals.  I completed WSET Award in Wines Level 1 back in 2018 when staring this amazing journey. Then undertook an ambitious goal in 2020 by taking on the WSET level 3 certification.  I successfully completed this program and the three part exam (with Merit!) in October 2020 and I am so eager to share my expanded understanding of wine with all of you. 

In every wine tasting I aim to create a fun and relaxed environment for you and guests to experiment with different wines. It is my true belief that wine should be fun!! Wine though a completely fascinating drink, should not be taken too seriously. I hope that after a wine tasting with me you will have the courage and knowledge to try different wines on a regular basis and truly appreciate every sip of this amazing liquid!
